Condolences for Chingiz Aytmatov
Turkish scholar Fethullah Gülen, who learned that Kyrgyz author Chingiz Aytmatov passed away, released a message to offer his condolences.
"I have learned in sorrow that th late Chingiz Aytmatov, a prominent intellectual who penned timeless and invaluable pieces of literature sticking together with the people in the land he lived, departed to his eternal journey. I offer condolences to Chingiz Aytmatov's relatives, the Kyrgyz people and the whole Turkish world. May God have mercy on his soul."
