No, the Gülen Movement does not have membership as such, let alone a closed membership. The Gülen Movement encourages participants to be open to the world, to be active in and belong to many, diverse networks, and benefit from social and intellectual mobility; it urges continual access to sources of information, ideas and arguments outside itself, and co-operation with others on the basis of universal values.
